David L. Edelman
August 22, 1920 - April 25, 2002

David Lawrence Edelman passed away Friday morning at St. James Healthcare. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1920 to Elmer and Virginia Edelman. He attended school in Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in journalism from Lehigh University.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Butte Symphony, Butte Literacy Program and Gold Hill Lutheran Church.

He was the Director of Communications for Montana Tech until his retirement in 1986.

He married Claire Graver in Allentown, Pa., on Jan. 28, 1950. She passed away in April of 2002. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Leni and Fred Hauer, Spokane, Wash., Beth and Jeff Tichelar, Chicago; son, Eric Edelman, Butte; grandchildren, Cameron and Daniel Hauer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted on April 29, 2003 at Gold Hill Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Borge officiating.
