NOTES FROM JEANETTE QUIST
Parish Education Associate
goldhill.education@hotmail.com
We would like to express our appreciation to the many Gold Hill volunteers have worked with our Sunday School children, teens and adults this past year.
We’ll honor these people at a reception Sunday, May 15th, 10 am in the Fellowship Hall.
The children will meet first, for their regular Sunday morning opening session at 9:45 in the gathering room downstairs.
Please join us for an opportunity to say "thank you" to all our 2010-11 educational staff.

Vacation Bible School/Day Camp is just around the corner, June 20-23.
This will again, be a joint event with Gloria Dei Lutheran, here at Gold Hill. The theme this year is "JESUS IS LIFE".
Classes for Preschool children, ages 3 through those going into Kindergarten this fall, will be from 9am - 11:30am.
Campers going into 1st - 6th grades will be 9am - 1:30pm. Older campers will need a sack lunch, Monday - Wednesday.
Thursday will be our closing program and picnic. Gold Hill and Gloria Dei volunteers will provide lunch.
Young adult counselors from Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp will lead the campers in Bible Study, games, singing as well as craft-making. Everyone will meet in the sanctuary each morning for worship and singing.
We are doing something different this year in that we are asking for volunteers to be "Guardian Angels". These helpers will be the extra eyes and ears to ensure our kids’ safety. With approximately 70 children on site, we need volunteers whose only responsibility will be to keep watch over our children.
Gold Hill’s week at Flathead Lutheran
Bible Camp is July 17 - 22.

I will be coordinating rides for campers that week only. If you can drive to or from camp, or even just take luggage, please call me at 490-3551, or the church office at 723-4242. This is a beautiful day trip for anyone interested in visiting our camp on the north end of Flathead Lake!

We have several young people graduating this spring!
Please share a picture of your graduate with a note as to the program and/or school they are graduating from. We would like to include them in our "graduates’" bulletin board. We’re proud of their accomplishments! Mail the photos to Jeanette Quist at Gold Hill.
